Medical malpractice intake FAQ
Do we still need a nurse or someone with a medical background on intake?
No. Lexidesk asks your full screening script on every call, from what happened and who provided the care to the harm that remains, and more. Your attorneys and any nurse consultant then read a complete written summary, so their time goes to case review instead of first calls.
How specific can the medical questions get?
As specific as your intake script. We build the agent from your own questions during onboarding, and the AI asks follow-ups based on what the caller says
Does the AI decide whether a caller has a case?
No. Lexidesk does not give legal advice or judge the merits of a claim. When a caller asks whether they have a good case, it explains that the attorneys will review the details and follow up. Your rules decide what happens to matters you do not take, and your attorneys make the final decision on every rejection.
Can it check the medical malpractice statute of limitations?
Lexidesk records the key dates on every call and can flag calls that fall outside the time limits you set. It does not tell callers whether their deadline has passed. That decision stays with your attorneys.
Does the AI tell callers it is an AI? Can they reach a person?
Yes. Lexidesk can introduce itself as an AI intake specialist at the start of the call, as in the recording at the top of this page. Callers who ask for a person can be transferred to your team during the hours you set, or they can leave a message.
Which CRMs does Lexidesk work with?
Native integrations include Clio Grow, Clio Manage, Lawmatics, HubSpot, GoHighLevel, and Neos. Filevine, Litify, CASEpeer, and SmartAdvocate connections are built on request, and any other system can receive leads through a webhook, Zapier, or Make. Summaries can also go to email, Slack, or Microsoft Teams.
How is caller information kept confidential?
Calls and transcripts are hosted on Microsoft Azure and encrypted at rest and in transit. Access is role-based, and Lexidesk staff open your data only when they need it to support your account. Our security controls are aligned with ISO 27001 and SOC 2.
How much does Lexidesk cost for a medical malpractice firm?
Pricing depends on your firm. Book a demo so we can learn about your intake, and we give you a price on the call.
How fast can we go live?
Most firms go live in 2 to 3 days. We build the agent from your intake script, run test calls before launch, and review your real calls with you during the first two weeks.
