About King Law Offices

King Law Offices is a multi-state firm with 26 locations across North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Founded in 2002 under the principle "Small Towns. Big Relationships.", the firm covers family law, personal injury, criminal defense, elder law, wills and estates, civil disputes, traffic and DWI, and business law. King Law has served more than 106,000 clients to date, with a team that brings over 350 combined years of legal experience.

The Challenge

The intake team of eight was overwhelmed. Calls were being missed during working hours, and after-hours callers were sent to voicemail, where most never called back. Every missed call was a potential client choosing the next firm that answered. The team also had no time for outbound work because they were constantly firefighting reactive volume, which capped how many leads the firm could actually convert.

The Solution

Lexidesk was deployed across all 26 King Law offices to handle inbound phone calls and web enquiries 24/7, qualify leads, schedule consultations directly into the firm's calendar, and follow up with prospects automatically. The Lexidesk team worked closely with King Law's sales leadership to tailor intake flows for each practice area, from family law qualification to personal injury triage. Several product features were built or refined specifically to support King Law's multi-office, multi-state, multi-practice setup.

The Results

In Q1 2026, Lexidesk added an average of 489 leads per month to King Law's pipeline. That is a 33.9% lift on the firm's Q4 2025 baseline of 1,443 leads per month, taking total monthly lead volume to 1,932.

In March 2026 alone, 40% of all consultations the firm booked were scheduled directly by Lexidesk with no human intervention. Of 857 total consultations that month, 337 came straight through the AI.

Looking at the most recent two-month average (March and April 2026), consultations climbed from 676 per month before Lexidesk to 816 per month, a 20.7% increase. Clients retained over the same window moved from 229 per month to 266 per month, up 16%.

What the team does day to day might be the most telling change. Before Lexidesk, the intake team's call mix was roughly 60% inbound and 40% outbound. Today it is closer to 90% outbound and 10% inbound. Lexidesk absorbs the reactive volume so the team can focus their hours on the leads most likely to convert.

Quotes from Leadership

“Lexidesk booked nine paid consultations over a single weekend, entirely outside business hours and without human staff involvement, a clear sign of what’s possible when intake is no longer the bottleneck.”

— Brian King, Founder and Managing Attorney

"We went from nothing to a full-blown system using AI and all the tools associated. Lexidesk really changed everything about our intake operations."

— Kimberly Mullinax, General Manager

"It has been a very positive experience for us the whole time. Was it a headache getting it all set up? Maybe a little bit. But was it worth it? Yeah."

— Tyler McClellan, Sales Director

How the Firm Operates Now

Every call, inside or outside of business hours, gets answered by Lexidesk. Web enquiries get qualified and booked in around the clock without the team queueing them up manually. The eight-person conversion team has been freed from reactive phone work and now spends most of its time chasing higher-intent leads, qualifying referrals, and recovering stalled prospects. Coverage is consistent across all 26 offices and every practice area, regardless of which location the lead came from or what time of day they reached out.

What's Next

King Law Offices is no longer in a testing or experimentation phase with Lexidesk. The platform is now embedded in the firm's day-to-day operations across all 26 offices and every practice area, running first-touch intake, consultation scheduling, and lead follow-up as core infrastructure.

The system now supports:

  • End-to-end intake automation across phone and web, in and out of business hours, fully integrated with the firm’s CRM - Hubspot.
  • Self-scheduling consultations at scale, with 40% of March bookings handled directly by the AI
  • Automated follow-up so leads stop falling through the cracks between first contact and consultation
  • Clear visibility into lead quality and conversion outcomes.

Rather than adding complexity to a multi-state operation, Lexidesk has simplified it. King Law has grown lead volume by a third and flipped its intake team from reactive call-handling to proactive outbound work, without adding proportional headcount. The firm now treats AI-powered intake not as an experiment, but as a standard operating advantage across the Carolinas and East Tennessee.
